Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021016 I upgraded a G4 powerbook to Mac OSX 10.2.2, then tried to run Mozilla. The browser windows do not show up, but mail, compose, ... DO! Happens with 1.2Beta and the trunk loaded on 2002.11.13 at 10pm PST. 1.2Beta works fine on OSX10.2.2 on a PowerPC G4 (Cube), but not the Titanium. Chimera 0.6 and 0.5 work OK on the powerbook. Actually there are tiny lines about the window header high that seem to be the windows. Perhaps something in 10.2.2 tickled something, or this upgrade of 10.2.2 went awry, but I can't find a way to re-do the upgrade and try it again. The tiny lines that are clickable and dragable, and other windows working fine tend to indicate something very specific in the navigator display code ?window sizing? - the Cube is using a 22" Cinema LCD, the G4 powerbook its builtin display. Fails on older Mozillas that were running on the powerbook pre 10.2.2, so the new OS has something to do with it. Reboot of Powerbook does not cure the problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. upgrade a (800MHz) G4 powerbook (Titanium) to Mac OSX 10.2.2 2. try and run Mozilla after restart. 3. small red Mozilla window comes up and says "starting first window" then disappears. 4. nothing obvious appears on screen 5. go to "Window" menu item, see that a window is listed 6. do <command> N or "File"->"New"->"Navigator Window" 7. see that the "Window" menu item lists it, but the window itself is not apparent on display. 8. go to "Window" menu and select "Mail", "Composer", "Address Book" 9. see that their window(s) appear(s) on the screen. Actual Results: no windows on screen. If one looks close, one may be able to find some tiny vertical lines (one per navigator window that was claimed to be opened) that must be part of the window frame, drawn with width=1 pixel. clicking on one will bring one back to Mozilla from the Finder. Expected Results: display the navigator window(s)
