User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:107.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/107.0
Steps to reproduce:
Open any site and right-click on any word. For example: https://html5test.com/
Actual results:
The context menu related to the web page appears. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/Xve7wFs.png
Typical behavior for the Windows operating system, but not for macOS.
Expected results:
The word that I hover over with the mouse and then right-click should be selected, and a context menu should appear after that. Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/phMnRfo.png
This is an awesome macOS feature that saves the user from unnecessary mouse clicks. This works in Chrome, Safari and the whole system! 👍

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Cocoa' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Any news on this bug report? After Chrome and Safari, it is very inconvenient to first select a word, then press RMB to get to the context menu.

In addition, in Chrome and Safari you can HOLD DOWN the RMB, and after the context menu appears, move the mouse pointer over the desired item of this context menu, and only then release the pressed RMB. That is, you can get to the desired menu item with just ONE CLICK of the mouse, and damn it, it’s very convenient!

This is a duplicate of bug 1751335 and has not bubbled to the top of the list of priorities so far.

Understood. It's a pity. This may seem like a small thing, but it greatly reduces productivity on macOS and, moreover, causes dissonance.
