Commercial 2002-11-12 Mac OS 9 only, branch build.

This works in every other version I have (Win, Mac X, Linux, Chimera, etc.) 

Only breaks in Mac OS 9, it looks like it does some strange double request,
because "transfering" appears twice, and never completes on the second run.

I'm using a new profile, and cleared caches.

I need to do one more isolation, but I need to file paperwork w/ bug numberes,
so I'm dropping this into bugzilla.

Problem cleared up on Mac OS 9.
