Hi Firefox / Mozilla Team,

I face this bug on all firefox based browsers like Firefox Stable, beta, nightly, firefox focus, Iceraven (firefox based).

I only face this issue on my device i.e RMX1931, on other 3 android devices that I have tested I do not see this bug, and even 1 one of the testing device had exact same screen resolution as RMX1931.

No Chrome / Chromium based browsers have this bug on RMX1931.

I have been facing this bug from 2019 (purchase of the device), was lazy to report it and settled to use Chromium based browsers but now I miss firefox so decided to report it firefox team to have a look into it. Not sure if its only RMX 1931 or front camera cutout which causes this issue.

If there is any way for me to help you understand about this bug like with sharing logs or something. Please let me know, I will be very happy to help.

Thanks

Hello,
I was not able to reproduce the issue on the latest Nightly from 12/20/2022 (110.0a1) nor Firefox Beta 109.0b2. Also tested on the latest GV Example and the issue is not reproducible. @Aashish Damrait could you please tell us if the issue is still reproducible on the latest Firefox Nightly or Focus Nightly?
It could be a device specific problem, as you said that the issue is not reproducible on 3 other Android devices.
Tested on: Google Pixel 6 (Android 13), Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (Android 13), Realme C35 (Android 11).

Thanks!

Hi,

I was able to find the cause of the issue. It seems issue only persists when using gesture navigation. When using navigation buttons issue is no longer there.

Latest firefox nightly vs brave nightly (Chromium based browser).

Aashish, just to confirm are you able to reproduce this issue on the other three devices you mentioned in comment 3? Even with pull-to-refresh gesture?

Clear a needinfo that is pending on an inactive user.

Inactive users most likely will not respond; if the missing information is essential and cannot be collected another way, the bug maybe should be closed as INCOMPLETE.

Hi Hiroyuki,

I'm only able to reproduce it on RMX1931 while using gesture navigation.
