Steps to reproduce:
I put the address field into the tools toolbar, and uncheck the address bar in the View.

Expected results:
The layout should be memorized.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Address Bar' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Could you please try to record a video of the issue you encounter? Where is the View you uncheck the address bar from?
Normally, the address bar can't be moved up or down (to the tabs bar or bookmarks bar), only to the left or right.
Thank you!
I move the address bar by dragging it in the Settings from its separate toolbar to the toolvar with navigation buttons:
Then I disable address bar toolbar here so to remove the now-empty toolbar.
Whether or not I disable address bar toolbar, the address bar field gets automatically restored to address bar panel on each Firefox restart and on opening new windows.

That's expected in normal Firefox (unconfigured) versions. As stated in previous comment, address bar can't be moved to a different place or removed, please see the attachment. Also, normally the "View" submenu doesn't have an Address
option.
I am a new Firefox user (previously used Pale Moon). I did not know it is not recommended to move this toolbar. Still I wonder, why its position is not remembered? Why the configure dialog then at all if it is not saved?
The separate address bar takes too much of precise vertical space while the button bar wastes a lot.

Address bar length can be reduced, plus there is no button in the normal Firefox versions. The Firefox version you are using is very configured so I assumed you were a power user using CSS toolbar configuration.
In this case, I recommend to download and use Firefox from the original website. Thank you!

I did exactly that.
If you say the address bar is a kind of plugin then I wonder why the plugin element position is not remembered.

That'd be a question for the author of this "plugin".
By default the customization code in Firefox will remember positions fine, including the relative position of the address bar compared to the other items that exist in the same toolbar.
