Build: 2002-11-15-08
Platform: OS X 10.1.5, 10.2.2
Expected Results: Nothing should happen since the file hasn't been completely
transfered
What I got: After pressing 'Launch File', the finder displays the MacOS
directory of Mozilla's package.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Specify DL manager to open when dl'ing a file
Preferences - Navigator- Downloads - Open the downlaod manager. Click OK.

2) Download a file like
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/chimera/releases/chimera-0.6.dmg.gz

3) When DL manager opens , press the 'Launch File' button

4) Notice package is opened in Finder
steve, punt as needed --not sure who should get this.

This sounds like a general download manager bug as the reveal and launch buttons
should be disabled until a file is completely downloaded. Has anyone checked
what the behavior is on other platforms? Reassigning to download manager
default owner.

Under Linux and Win32 builds, you can click on the 'Launch File' button while
the transfer is occuring but nothing happens.
Under Mac OS 9.2, the Finder does open the NS/Mozilla folder where the
application resides when clicking this button during a transfer.
Due to our cockamamy system of salting the download file name until the download
finishes anybody that tries to refer to the final file while it's downloading
will get an invalid file reference. I suspect the download manager isn't
noticing it got an error, or worse, we're not getting an error in this case.

Hmm. The 'Launch File' button on the DL manager is now dimmed while the file
transfer occurs so I can no longer reproduced this issue. Tested under 10.2.3
(2003-01-24-04) and 9.2.2 (2003-01-24-13).
