User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/108.0.0.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Randomly, an Inbox will rebuild. When it finishes, the most recently junked emails reappear in it.
v102.5.1
7 email accounts from smtp servers, stored on a home-server.
Same setup has been running for several years.

Yeah, as I said in Bug 1804625 Comment 3:

(In reply to phil harris from comment #2)

I've been running TB with its folders on my Synology NAS for about 10 years, so multiple clients can access them. Has never worked flawlessly but it has always worked. The latest release build has changed something less-than-subtly.

Possible. All of the problems which you're facing now are probably caused by keeping your profile on the NAS - when I/O operations take too long, TB may think a profile file is non-existing and create a new one, which in turn causes those problems like losing settings and reappearing messages.

After the last comment I checked all my ethernet cables and found a broken locking tab on the NAS connection !
Not had a recurrence since replacing that.
