Steps to reproduce:
With several tabs open in a window, either:
- I focused to a different application window, then Firefox again.
- Pressed Ctrl+C with some text selected (there is no problem if I don't have anything selected).
- Used F12 as a global hotkey to show or hide my on-screen terminal emulator (Yakuake).
Actual results:
After the actions listed above, Firefox switched to a different tab without being asked to - usually (always?) to the last one in the window.
Expected results:
No spontaneous tab switching.

I have noticed this on multiple systems, all running Firefox 107 with Wayland on KDE 5.26.4 on Fedora Linux 37.
It's happening consistently, and it's super annoying.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Once my distro has updated to 113.0.2, and I've had some time to test it, I'll report back. This could take a week or two, maybe more.

See the attachment for a screen capture. It's weird that when I focus the terminal window, it only switches to the last tab when I focus back on Firefox, but when I focus on the About window, it switches immediately... I'm not pressing any keyboard buttons during the recording, only clicking a couple times.

That's weird. Can you try plain Mozilla binaries with clean profile?
