User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:108.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/108.0
Steps to reproduce:
I updated to Firefox 108 this morning on Windows 11 Pro 2H22 and no sites are working anymore, on a quick look I noticed the following bugs:
- Adblock plus no longer works (there are issues with filters not wanting to add or register
- Also try https://lesscss.org/ it doesn't work anymore
- I also wanted to log into a Firefox account, it said there is a problem with cookies, they say they are disabled
It causes too many problems this Firefox 108, do you have the same bugs?
I'm on Windows 11 Pro 2:22

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Networking: Cookies' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I have not been able to replicate any of these issues in firefox 108 so this bug can be closed.
@hgreen.9 I found the problem, in fact you should not do this:
- change os (switch from windows 7 to 11)
- on windows 7 backup the profile (C:\Users\Mcdo\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles) and restore it on Windows 11 (C:\Users\Mcdo\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles)
- Then start Firefox, support for our profile as before on Firefox. On Firefox 107 it worked fine. But on Windows 108 it doesn't work anymore.
So I deleted Firefox and I erased the two mozilla folders on C:\Users\Mcdo\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\ and C:\Users\Mcdo\AppData\Local and I installed firefox, I did not restore a profile, I used the synchronization firefox account.
It's just a shame that the trick to do 100% restoration with my file (without going through a Firefox account) doesn't work anymore.
If you have the solution I'm a taker
Another solution to find your firefox profile without using a Firefox account:
- You cut the internet
- You must have a copy of your profile file to do the following
- You restore it on your firefox
- You start firefox and you go to the options to disconnect from your firefox account
- Your profile is therefore down, there is for example a problem with adblock,
- So you have to repair Firefox, it will remove Firefox settings but it won't remove history, bookmarks and all that, you will just lose the settings in "about:" t then you have to manually put all your settings back in "about:" via options and about:config
- The firefox and the old profile is operational
My profile is very old, several years old but still up to date with the latest versions of firefox

Hi Reporter,
Since you said this problem happened after updating Firefox, could you try yo use mozregression to help us find out the regression range?
Looks like you blocked needinfo
request, so I can only leave a comment and hope you can see this.
Thanks.
I don't understand how to make mozregression work. Whatever I do, I would do now on Virtualbox with Windows 11 because the profile firefox bug is happening there too.
This is to avoid breaking everything on my personal computer now everything is working fine.

We can't move this bug forward without enough information, so I'll close this bug for now.
Feel free to reopen if this happens again.
Thanks.
