Steps to reproduce:

Thunderbird (IMAP):
1.Configure Thunderbird to download email from at least two (2) email addresses.
2.Create a NEW folder (e.g. Alias Emails) under the primary/first email address created in Thunderbird.
3.Create two filters to sort "From, To, CC, BCC" that "contains" the alias email address, and set it to "Move" the email to the NEW folder created in the previous step.
4.Create one filter (e.g. "Alias filter") to sort "From, To, CC, BCC" from an old email address that is an ALIAS that is also in one or both of the address books. (I have 6 filters - unknown if there is a minimum threshhold to create the problem.)
5. Set all filters to Run Manually in addition to the default automatic expectation.
6. Set Thunderbird to compare email addresses on new incoming email to contents of ALL address books (Collected and Personal)
7. Send multiple emails per day from various emails addresses in Both address books PLUS from the old email address that is an alias. (( receive an average of 50+ emails per day from my address books and approximately 100 per day of real spam).
7. For at least two consecutive days, use an Android device (do Not use Thunderbird on a computer at all for those two days) to access Only email for the first/primary email address configured in Thunderbird. Read all or almost all new emails in the inbox, move some emails from the spam folder to the inbox, and delete some emails from spam folders.
8. On third day (or later), use Thunderbird on computer download all emails and examine emails in the spam folder.

Actual results:

Alias filter does not move emails to the designated destination folder.
When manually run the filter, it moves only one email to the designated folder.
When manually run the filter a second time, it moves multiple applicable emails to the designated folder, but not necessarily all the applicable emails.

Expected results:

All incoming emails that contain the alias email address in From, To, CC, or BCC should appear in the designated destination folder and NONE should be sent to the Spam Folder.

Are you use beta? The current version is 109.

No. I have never used beta. Pn the same day I wrote this report, I had verified that Thunderbird was up to date with the latest version. Let me know if you want the date in upgrade history on which this version was installed.

Existing filters do not work. I deleted them and re-created the filters as follows:

1. Created filter to sort "From, To, CC, BCC" that "contains" the alias email address, and set it to "Move" the email to the NEW folder created in the previous step.
2. Ran filter on the Junk folder.
   Result: Filter did not work.
3. Enabled Filter Log, ran filter again on the Junk folder.
   Result: Filter did not work.
4. Created filter to sort "From, To, CC, BCC" from an email address that is "in my address book," set to "match any of the following," set to match "personal address book" + "collected address book," and set it to "move" the email to the Inbox folder.
   Result: Filter did not work. The one (1) email that met the criteria remained in the Junk folder. In the Filter Log, it appears Thunderbird attempted to move ALL the junk mail to the Inbox, but NONE of them moved to the Inbox. Since I am unsure if I located the correct .dat file that contains the Filter Log, I am copying/pasting the log's contents below.

Could it be that the messages were in fact moved to the inbox by the filters, but because they were still marked as spam / junk, they were then once again automatically moved to the spam folder? Maybe you need to add a filter to unmark these messages as junk?

Hello,

1. Before I updated the notes earlier today, I verified that none of the items in the junk mail were moved to the Inbox. I deleted some (not all) of the junk emails, then closed Thunderbird to do other work.
2. When I launched Thunderbird now, I see several new emails that should have been moved per the new filters to either the Inbox or the other folder 2319_Sort_Garbage. Neither of the filters functioned.
3. I just verified that both new filters are configured to run Filter Run BEFORE Junk classification.
