Hello. I downloaded mozilla from the CVS (Fri Nov 4th) and
compiled it on my RedHat Linux 5.2 (intel) system. I was
able to run it but I noticed a problem with the preferences
dialog. First of all, it is too small. Some of the options
at the bottom are not displayed. To make matters worse, the
dialog window is not resizable. This is just flat out wrong!
Every dialog box should be resizable. It is fine to put a min
and max limit on the sizes of dialog windows but to hard code
it to a set width and height is a huge mistake. I for one use
a laptop with a 1200x1000 display, and I can assure you that
most apps do not handle this type of resolution on a 13 inch
screen very well. I know it seems like a good idea to hard code
in dialog box sizes, but this type of "Microsoft" coding
does not work well in the real world. Please don't take this
as a flame, I am just trying to tell you that it is a problem
for users.

I am going to attach a screen shot of the problem I am having
because we all know that a picture is work 1K words.

regarding the resizability issue.

you may want to work with matt to make proper changes to the size of the pref
window.

I just checked this problem with a build from the CVS and it
seems to be fixed. I am marking this bug as such.

Bulk move of all Pref UI component bugs to new Preferences component.  Pref UI 
component will be deleted.
