Steps to reproduce:
Download an email w/an attachment.
Actual results:
Thunderbird randomly downloads only part of an attachment. I've noticed it with JPG and PDF files. When it's a JPG file, the image shown is obviously corrupted. When it's a PDF file, Adobe reader reports a "corrupted" file. If I shut Thunderbird down & restart, the attachment will (sometimes) download successfully. Sometimes it takes multiple restarts. Totally unpredictable.
This just started happening recently. Maybe within the last 2 or 3 Thunderbird updates. I keep updating to the latest version (now 102.6.1), but the problem is still happening.
I am using Aquamail on my phone. Same access method (IMAP). No problems. Looks to me to be a Thunderbird/Mozilla problem, not a server (AOL/Verizon) problem.
Expected results:
Download the whole attachment.

Hey, that's unfortunate! We need more information for reproducing your problem.
- Can you please provide a more detailed, numbered set of steps? I suspect that you have skipped some steps like saving or opening of attachments? We need to know every action/click/etc.
- On a message which has corrupted attachments, are the attachment file sizes shown in message reader's attachment pane correct?
- Which exact actions do you perform on the attachments? (open/save/etc, incl. file actions set)
- If you save some broken attachments from attachment pane to hard disk, what are their file sizes?
- This reminds me of bug 1805186 - your case?
- Which add-ons are you using? (You could try making
≡ > Help > Troubleshoot Mode…permanent using the checkboxes on the Troubleshoot dialog and see if problems still occur).

Yes, sounds like that bug and all its friends.
Another important question for the reporter is offline storage in use? If this is a default setup it probably is. Offline storage means you keep the full messages stored locally and permanently on disk in mbox or maildir files.
Also does the reporter use other IMAP servers (not AOL/Verizon) that work OK with attachments? Note: AOL and Verizon use the Yahoo imap server from what I understand.
