Steps to reproduce:

Go to https://fred-wang.github.io/MathFonts/mozilla_mathml_test/
Try selecting multiple symbols, by holding the left mouse button and moving the mouse around. I have recorded this in action:

Actual results:

Sometimes parenthesis or + symbols are still selected, after trying to select other textual elements or clicking nearby.

Expected results:

The selection of MathML symbols should work the same way, as it does for ordinary textual content.
