1809554 - Android app only shows white screen (v 2.12.0)

Steps to reproduce:

• Download and install the app (version 2.12.0) from Google Play
• Open the app

Actual results:

The apps starts, showing only a white screen. After ~5 seconds, the app blinks black for an instant, then returns to the white screen forever.

Things I tried:

• Waited for 10+ minutes to see if anything happens. Nothing. The white screen continues.
• Cleared app storage+cache, re-installed, restarted phone. Same results

Extra info:

• Using LineageOS 18.1 with Gapps
• Device (ancient): Samsung Galaxy S4
• Mozilla VPN app version: 2.12.0 (latest)

Expected results:

App should start normally.

• LineageOS 18.1 is Android 11.

Thanks for the report and apologies for the delay. Do you still experience this issue? We are in the midst of launching 2.14 and many stability improvements have been improved since then (though, disclaimer: We don't test on LineageOS so we might not have found it).

Apologies for the delay as well. I recall testing on 2.15.0 and still experienced the issue.
Feel free to close the issue. I'll soon change device+OS, so I won't be able to test this specific issue anymore.
