Steps to reproduce:
On multiple occasions the UI has let me accidentally copy or move the top-level Inbox inside of itself. My mailbox are very big and when it does this all I can do is recover from my backup.
The UI should not allow the Inbox to be moved or copied to a subfolder of itself, but it seems to allow this.
Actual results:
It recursively tries to embed itself over and over again .. seemingly infinite nesting of the Inbox inside of itself in a sub folder.
Expected results:
UI shouldn't allow this.

declay, this is an imap account?
Can anyone else reproduce this?
Or is this is a problem that we know we have fixed in the last two years?

I couldn't duplicate.
Reporter, are you using drag/drop or the right-click move/copy folder menu?
For me, the menu to move/copy a "special" folder like Inbox, Drafts etc is disabled so I can't move or copy Inbox into itself, at least for IMAP. Also, drag of Inbox into Inbox is an no-op.
Need more detailed info on how to duplicate.
