Actual results:

In some folders (e.g., Local Folders > Sent) there is extra space at the beginning of the Subject column, but not in others (e.g., Local Folders -> Trash). In one of my accounts, all folders have the extra space; in another one, none of the folders has it. Both are IMAP accounts.

Expected results:

Space at the beginning of the Subject column should be just enough to fit the information on whether the message has been forwarded and/or replied to.

I would say the folders with the space have threading turned on and the folders without the space have it turned off.

Menu -> View -> Sort by -> [Un-]Threaded

Can you confirm that?

That's correct, thank you very much!
It would, however, be nice to access that setting either through the folder's context menu or the columns context menu.

Assuming the column is shown, the threaded mode can be toggled by clicking on the column header of the "Thread" column.
