While running an out-of-date Firefox could lead to security issues, I don't think this needs to be hidden as it is not directly a cause of security issues.

I'm a little confused by what is going on here. I see that the same version is getting installed over and over again. Are you downgrading Firefox in between these updates? Or is something odd going on that is causing Firefox to either install the same update repeatedly, or just think that it has?

I don't know what this means, could you elaborate? It sounds like you are saying that Firefox is downgrading itself, but your update history shows strictly increasing version numbers.

Are you saying that you have selected the "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" option, but Firefox is installing updates without prompting you? If so, what makes you aware of when the updates are installed? Is Firefox showing the "What's new" page?
