From github: https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues/23003.
- When a user is trying to leave private browsing with active downloads, a prompt is displayed notifying the user that the downloads will cancel if they close all private tabs.
- When the user closes private tabs from the device notifications, the prompt is not displayed, and the downloads are canceled.
- For consistency it would be useful maybe to have the same prompt in this case, or another warning that the downloads will stop this way.

Thank you for submitting this report.
This issue has been addressed in the latest version of the app, we've implemented a confirmation prompt that notifies the user of active downloads when leaving Private Browsing. A screenshot of the implemented prompt is attached.
We'll go ahead and close this ticket. Please feel free to reopen if the current implementation doesn't fully resolve the original concern.
