Mozilla does not open attachments in email either by double clicking the
attachment or using the open on the pop up menu.  Attachments currentlyt have to
be saved and that opend from their native programme.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Recieve an email with an attachment
2 [review].Double click on the attachment or right click and select open from the menu.
3.

Actual Results:  
The attachment did not open.

Expected Results:  
The attachment should open.

i think that's by design. Save as attachments from browser need to be saved
first before they can be executed.

This is a much discussed safety measure. Nominating for wontfix
