Although the initial issue with the Google search engine no longer occurs, a similar behavior can be observed in the latest versions Nightly 117.0a1, Beta 116.0b4 and RC 115.2.0 with the Amazon.com search engine.
STR:
- On the URL bar, tap the Search engine selector button (engine icon) and select the Amazon.com topic-specific search engine.
- Type a search term in the URL bar and perform the search.
- Tap the 3-dot menu > History.
- Observe the history entries displayed for the previous search.
Not all the accessed pages are grouped under the search term group. The redirect page is displayed outside the search group in History menu. However, both pages are displayed under the search term group on on the "Recently visited" section on Homepage.
As per the example in the attached video, the URLs were displayed as follows:
- inside the search term group: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=toy&link_code=qs&sourceid=Mozilla-search&tag=moz-us-mbl-20
- outside the search term group: https://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&field-keywords=toy&index=blended&link_code=qs&sourceid=Mozilla-search&tag=moz-us-mbl-20
Device used: Xiaomi 12 Pro (Android 13)
