Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021120
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021120

If I middle click on a hyperlink, it doesn't open a new tab, even though that
option is selected in the preferences.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.middle click on a hyperlink
2.
3.

Actual Results:
current tab displays link target

Expected Results:
new tab should be created and the link target displayed on that
WorksForMe using Chimera/2002111204.
Doesn't work for me using build 2002112008.

Fortunately, I use a logitech mouse and so can use the logitech control centre
in the preferences to configure the middle mouse to send a cmd-middle click
which does open a separate tab.
Still WorksForMe using Chimera/2002112204. Hardware-specific?
What h/w are *you* using?

I was using a PowerBook G4/800 DVI, with Logitech Mouseman Optical. That's the
only Mac h/w I can try, w/o moving h/w around.

Max.
Still doesn't work with build 2003012108.

Also tried a different mouse (SGI M-UD43).
