Now, this seems to me like a feature that ought to already exist, but I couldn't
find it in an RFE (or in the BZ docs) anywhere. So, here goes:

The other day, I commented on a bug that really didn't need a comment. A
developer was kind enough to email me and say "Hey, we didn't really need that
comment, but thanks for trying to help."

You can look at several bugs on bugzilla.mozilla.org where the number of useless
comments reaches up to 200 or more.

Now, wouldn't it be nice if the developers could set (and unset) a flag on the
bug that said "Only developers may comment on this bug?" It could be set once
the developers had enough public information, and only needed to converse
amongst themselves.
