User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/111.0
Steps to reproduce:
With the new layout in daily, the Ctrl-A shortcut to select all emails in daily doesn't work. It seems to select all the folders in my case and then Ctrl-Shift-A selects all the emails (see screenshot).
This started happening around January 24 2023 when the new layout was rolled out in daily.
Actual results:
The folders get selected
Expected results:
Emails should be selected

Thanks bbhtt. Please note that filling bugs against 111 is discouraged until 14-Feb as we're still working on these things.
But yes, confirming for 111.0a1 (2023-01-30) (64-bit), Win10.
STR
- Select a message in message list
- Press Ctrl+A
- Then press Ctrl+Shift+A
Actual
- Ctrl+A selects HTML text content of folder pane
- Subsequent Ctrl+Shift+A additionally selects HTML text content of message list
- Note: These are not item selections, but just text selections (which is completely unwanted and pointless)
- Pretty hard to get rid of text selection in message list (only clicking on another folder or quick filter's search box unselects)
Expected
- On Windows and Linux, Ctrl+A must select all messages in message list. By analogy, Cmd+A on Mac.
- Ctrl+Shift+A must select the entire thread of the currently selected (& focused) message.

Reporter, please retest...
I can't reproduce this with current nightly on Mac
Ctrl+A now does nothing (it doesn't select the contents from folder pane like it was doing and doesn't select the messages). Ctrl+Shift+A now seems to selects the messages.
Tested with 111.0a1 (2023-02-12). I'm on Linux.

Wfm on 112.0a1 (2023-02-16) (64-bit), Win10.
Per Bug 1816613 Comment 3, also wfm on Linux (that comment also has a range of changesets which might have fixed this).
bbhtt (reporter), can you confirm if Ctrl+A now works correctly for you on the latest update, 112.0a1 (2023-02-16) (64-bit)?
