User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/109.0
Steps to reproduce:
It happens with virtually all iCal calendar invitations
Actual results:
I only see "This message contains an invitation to an event" blue bar in the message without Accept / Decline buttons.
This happens with 2 mail accounts (both of my accounts). I have calendars assign to the mail identities and they match the invitee address. I also tried "Prefer client-side scheduling" without any luck...
Expected results:
I should see accept/decline buttons. Ideally I should also be able to download actual iCal file (but it's hidden)
I asked on reddit before (https://old.reddit.com/r/Thunderbird/comments/w7unk0/cant_accept_event_no_buttons_shown/) without any luck.
I think that at the very least, if TB can't process the invite, there should be an option to download attached iCal file (IMHO it should be present always but if that's not possible then only if other processing is not possible)

- wojtek, can you provide a privacy-sanitized testcase of an .ics file which fails for you?
Attach New File
button above comment 0. - Have you tried the workaround mentioned on reddit?
I had the same issue. I am using Thunderbird to manage a Work/Outlook calendar, my own Google calendar, Thunderbirds own and several shared ones. Invites sent, e. g., via Teams for the Work calendar did not show any Accept/Decline button, until I had the work calendar added in the Thunderbird calendar and the work email associated with it. Simply having another calendar with the work email in Thunderbird was not enough.

Personal invite generated by google calendar
@thomas8
Attached two sample invites. work.ics
is the one that prompt me to submit the ticket finally. It was generated by MS Exchange I guess. Weird thing the email with it was quite empty and I wasn't able to save the ics file directly from Thunderbird (had to save mail, open it in mail.app and save it from there). Work email is handled by Mailu and the calendar associated with it is still from old fastmail account (same email address)
The invite.ics
is my personal test, generated by google calendar (old mailbox) sent to to addresses (Cc) on my current mailbox (mailbox.org). Calendar is handled by mailbox.org here.
I have actually 3 calendars in Tb. Couldn't add yet another one as I already have them all.
The imip bar may have been hidden ?
As far as I know you must go to the configuration editor to show it again toggling calendar.itip.showImipBar to true.
