We should stop using the OS primary and accent color (SelectedItem?) for anything other than High Contrast mode.
Inheriting colors from the OS is too unpredictable and in most cases can cause bad readability.
Screenshot example of a selected folder with new/unread messages.
Let's use our color variables for default and dark mode, and let the OS style the HC mode.
