Ideas for Solution
Let us know if you have an idea on how to solve this user problem
It would be helpful to have a toggle setting that lets you select if you want this behavior.
Lets users avoid the extra step of dismissing the keyboard

Additional comment from iOS github issue:
This is just inconvenient and unexpected. Take a look at the scenario.
When
- Firefox is opened
- A "shortcut" is tapped
Then
- Suddenly keyboard appears
- Most of the shortcuts are covered
- Some key in the keyboard Is tapped, resulting in input in the address bar

Let's reconsider this. The iOS issue is being worked on right now - https://mozilla-hub.atlassian.net/browse/FXIOS-5579. When that is done the iOS keyboard interaction will align with Android which is the behavior that we designed and tested.

Confirmed per conversation with Harrison and Verdi - we'll cancel this ticket. There might be future improvements we can make to search bar behavior (e.g., smarter default suggestions or a more useful treatment of Top Sites), but that's a larger and lower-priority initiative.
