Steps to reproduce:

Open and scroll twitter.com using Firefox 109.2.0 from Google Play on my Samsung Galaxy S20FE with the latest updates (Android 13). I also have similar glitches with some other webpages; especially with images.

I attach a screen recording to demonstrate the issue, please look at the top part of the screen. On the screen recording, I scroll quickly to catch the issue, however, sometimes it happens even with slow scrolling. It happens not only on twitter, but also on other sites.

I tried turning all addons off, clearing data, uninstalling and installing the app again - no difference.

I was observing this behavior for many month. For some reason, I do not observe the same behavior with Firefox Beta 110.0b6 from Google Play (at least after a couple of minutes of checking).

I am not completely convinced it is a common bug, it looks a lot like it is an issue with my particular installation of Firefox (some bad cache or something), but then I can't solve it by reinstalling or clearing all data (neither from Firefox setting, nor from Android system settings) and can't find any external source for it.

Actual results:

Visual glitches with random bright colors, pixelation.

Expected results:

No glitches

It looks like Bugzilla doesn't allow to upload the screen recording, so here is a link - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KySkNyxt5I5pAFJCKpQ0mFDY92_TXhLO/view?usp=sharing

I also attached a screenshot from the video recording.

After updating to 110.0.1 (Build #2015933339) it works better, but the bug still occurs sometimes. Although, now it occurs only after Firefox is running for a long time. Restarting Firefox would fix the issue for some time. So far I observed this bug only on websites where there is some element that it sticking to some side of the screen (like twitter or reddit, where there is the top menu thing) when scrolling.

Thank you for the report!

I was not able to reproduce this issue on the RC 117.0 build, nor on Beta 117.0b9, or Nightly 118.0a1 from 8/25.

Tested with Samsung GalaxyZ Fold 4 (Android 13, Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android 8) and Motorola Moto G9 plus (Android 11)

Could you try to reproduce this issue on the most recent nightly build?

Hi,

Thank you for looking at it. I just checked and I do not observe the issue anymore (I am currently running stable 116.3.0). It probably got fixed after some update (I got used to it after some time, so I probably just stopped noticing it until it disappeared). I sincerely apologize for not closing the bug report earlier — I completely forgot about it as it was a long time ago. Sorry for wasting your time :( Please feel free to close as fixed.
