Use a splitter to separate the Bookmarks Toolbar(s) and the Bookmarks list in
the Sidebar.
A double click on the splitter will show hide the BT(s) list.

No offense of course :-p
Chimera and its developers rock!

I would rather say how to not understand, not following AAHIG and how to waste
precious screen space by implementing current design.

I'll make a new bug report soon, you will see how many times you go against
AAHIG and even some developers arguments are contradictory to the choices made.

The splitter would make it hard to drag between views and stuff. Toolbar
bookmarks reallly are just bookmarks (they appear in menus), so I don't think
the distinction  is useful.
