RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 158279

People

(Reporter: slabbi, Assigned: gordon)

Details

Prerequisite: Drive with less free memory than defined in Preferences->Advanced->Cache->Disk Cache Bug is reproducible: Memory Cache: 4096 Disk Cache: 8192 Harddisk has 1GB, about 6MB left for Mozilla disk cache Browse websites until no more disk space is available. Enter new URL, for example: www.domain.tld/folder/page.htm Mozilla gives following alert: "Cannot open /folder/page.htm" Correct behaviour should be: - clear older cache entries to allow further browsing or - do not cache new data on disk (use memory cache instead) and/or - warn use once about low harddisk space "available disk space lower than defined cache size in preferences"
Sorry I forget: Tested with Mozilla 1.2a and 1.2b Not tested with nightly build on a Windows 95 machine (with FAT16 partitions)
