Firefox uses large amounts of memory on certain tabs exhausting all 32GB of my ram causing my system to hang

Steps to reproduce:

Visit any 2 of these 3 sites:
Neeva.com (Do a search - "Preact Profiler" was my query)
Localhost (Preact App, No known memory leaks [uses only 132mb consistently in a chromium browser])
BugZilla (This form that I am submitting now, I had to switch to Brave midway through as my system was about to run out of memory)

Actual results:

All the above sites end up using 6gb+ of memory in the task manager of firefox, gradually increasing over time until my RAM is full and my system freezes. This is happening around 6 times a day now.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/109.0. Arch, fully updated, latest kernel. I don't think this was an issue in the previous version of firefox I had installed which was 107.0-1 as far as I can tell.

Expected results:

These websites should use a reasonable amount of memory that doesn't cause my PC to crash.

Also, since this update the MetaMask extension refuses to start.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I downgraded one by one from 110 - 105 but the issue was still present. I then downgraded to 100 and the issue no longer seems to be there (a page which previously took 6gb now takes 234mb)

You should be able to use mozregression to narrow the range if there's a point in the past that the issue did not occur.

There's no evidence to suggest this is GC related.

The memory report shows a lot of memory associated with the MetaMask extension.
