User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/110.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Go to any site
- Hold down your finger on the touch-screen to trigger a context menu
- Close the menu with the touch-screen
- Now try scrolling with the touch-screen
Actual results:
It gets... weird. It acts like it's still selecting text or I have another phantom finger held down forcing it to pinch-zoom.
And if it gets stuck pinch-zooming, the touch-screen becomes pretty much unusable and I need to open a new browser window.
Expected results:
It would keep acting normally.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Window Protocol: xwayland
Desktop Environment: ubuntu:gnome
I'd say XWayland may be the problem here. Can you try
- Gnome Xorg session
- Mozilla binaries under Wayland?

Thanks.

The problem occurs on both plain X11 and XWayland, but not full Wayland.

Any updates on this? It basically means I have to restart Firefox or drag the tabs to a different window every 30 minutes whenever a long-tap ends up locking Firefox into pinch-zooming mode.
