Not sure why, specifically, because it doesn't get very far in the rendering. It also crashes in the older Mozilla 1.1. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch Mozilla 2. Type "http://hollywood.com" in the navigation window 3. Wait a few seconds...CRAAAAASSSSHHHH!!! Actual Results: CRAAAAASSSSHHHH!!! Expected Results: Rendered the page
do you still crash when upgrading to Flash 6 http://www.macromedia.com/software/flashplayer/special/beta/ If yes, were you playing sound while loading site, running Mozilla on a remote display ?
Severity: normal → critical
Keywords: crash, stackwanted
Unable to reproduce with fresh CVS build - and Flash 5.0r50 or latest 6.0 beta build, with or without sound in use (using any combination of artsd, esd and XMMS's OSS driver plugins to tie up the sound device)
Got e-mail from Regis: "Everything is fine after upgraded Flash as you suggested. I should have realized this was a Flash problem, and not a Mozilla problem." Regis, no worries, Flash 6 fixed a lot of crashers, eventhough they were Flash issue, Mozilla shouldn't crash when a plug-in crashes, bug 156493. Marking WFM as per reporter comments.
