User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/110.0

Steps to reproduce:

Windows 10.
I open Thunderbird. I sent a email from another PC to Thunderbird.

Actual results:

I receive the email, small pop up window.
Thunderbird icon displays a "1".
After 60s I hear another sound (which I would say, is from receiving an email).
And counter is increased to "2".
When I check for emails, only 1 was received.
Reproduceable!

Expected results:

When 1 email is received, only a "1" shall be displayed.
Not going up to "2" without receiving a second email.

When sending a second email, counter increases to "3". But this time no sound (after 60s) and also no further increase to "4".

I also tried with a different email account (completely different provider). There instead of checking every 1minutes (60s),
it is checking every 5min. Problem does not occure!

All used email accounts use POP3. So it looks like there is a dependency to the email provider? Error happens against sslin.df.eu

Problem does not seem to be reproduceable with a gmx.de nor a googlemail.com account.

Do you see this in version 115?
