Details
(Keywords: regression)
Steps to reproduce:
- Set an email account that is non GAFAM
- Set some messages filters that run on incoming emails and move messages from inbox to a folder (for example a Bugmail ;) )
- Quit TB
- Wait for receiving an email that should be filtered (for example, save some changes in bug)
- Start TB
Actual results:
- Filter is created and active
- Messages are not moved out from inbox to folder
Expected results:
Messages should be moved out from inbox to folder
This worked fine in TB 102 & TB 110b4

Not sure if that enter Supernova criteria, if that affect Message list, ... so blocking for the moment, until Triage happens ;-)

Should I report it against MailCore product or Thunderbird ? Both have Filters component

imap-js specific (i.e. doesn't happen when imap-js is preffed off) will never be supernova related (or if it ever is, extremely rare)

I can reproduce it, but only if I didn't go to the target folder a bit before. With the target folder "open" (connected) it works as expected.
Nicolas, can you confirm?

It seems to me it works with today build. Is that the case for you Magnus ?
(I didn't had the time to try your scenario in comment 4 yet)
(Do not hesitate to NI me, so I can see it in my Dashbord ;) )

No, sorry. I have filters that move some messages 2-3 everyday, even I don't open the destination folder for the entire session.
Maybe your case is a sub one, or a more specific.

My way to test it, having control on what happen, is to:
- set a filter for FxA to a folder I never open
- In Firefox, disconnect and reconnect to my FxA

Indeed, seems to work for me too with today's build. Maybe resolved as a side effect of changes in bug 1818247 then.
