Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/110.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Open a web page, for example, https://www.branch.io/resources/blog/jet-app-banner-for-increased-app-traffic/
- Enter view-source mode
- Search for text (ctrl+f); for example, try to find the "canonical" tag of the page
Actual results:
The text search has been behaving slowly since a couple of versions ago. Sometimes, you can see a considerable lag in the response. On other occasions, it seems the program is completely frozen.
I don't know if this relates to the extensions I installed (LastPass and Facebook Container). I disabled and uninstalled them, I even refreshed Firefox, and view-source behaves the same way. However, after turning Troubleshoot Mode on, the text search in view-source is fast, as expected.
Expected results:
Matching text is found and highlighted immediately, as it used to be.
