User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021126 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.3a) Gecko/20021126 As of very recently, it seems that I cannot bookmark a URL by dragging it from the "Location" field (at the top of the browser) to the personal toolbar (immediately below it). Likewise, I cannot bookmark a URL by dragging it from the Location field to the "Bookmarks" sidebar. Selecting "Bookmark this page" from the pop-up ("context"?) menu (via right-clicking in the page) works fine. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to a web site 2. Drag the icon left of the URL in the Location field to the personal toolbar Actual Results: Nothing. Expected Results: Added the bookmark.
WorksForMe using FizzillaMach/2002112507, dragging the URL Bar proxy icon to the Personal Toolbar.
Summary: Drag and drop of bookmark from Location field to personal toolbar broken → Drag and drop of bookmark from Location field to Personal Toolbar broken
Yup, my bad. Upon further inspection, it appears that my bookmarks.html file had somehow gotten corrupted, so that the "Personal Toolbar Folder" was no longer present. So there was nowhere to drag-n-drop to. How this happened is another question, since I didn't edit the file by hand and wouldn't have intentionally deleted the folder. I did switch to a weekend build right before the problem turned up. Perhaps it was the culprit? Nonetheless, I was able to resolve the problem by copying in an intact bookmarks.html file from another Profile.
