Details

When pasting content in paste.mozilla.org, if the pasted content has certain emojis (confirmed bug-triggering emojis: πŸ™Œ, πŸˆβ€β¬›, didn't test others) then submitting the paste using the "paste snippet" button returns a http 500 error.

STR

  • Go to paste.mozilla.org
  • Create a new paste of "plain code" keeping the rest of the parameters default
  • Add content "foobar πŸ™Œ"
  • Click "Paste Snippet"

Expectations

  • A new paste is created with the content "foobar πŸ™Œ"

Current behaviour

  • HTTP 500 error is returned

Additional information

  • Content that doesn't have emojis goes through just fine
  • "foobar βœ…" goes through without any problems, suggesting that not all emojis are a problem
