User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/112.0
Steps to reproduce:
Try to access an extension's popup in the extension menu.
Actual results:
I have to manually scan over a lot of menu items that I never interact with.
Expected results:
I can type to search the list and find the one I need quickly (like I type in the urlbar to search my bookmarks or visit history).
Since the addition of the un-removable extension menu, I've removed extension buttons from the overflow menu to save space. But the extension menu lists all my extensions, not only the ones I frequently interact with, to make it harder to find the one I need. (I have 56 extensions installed.)

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Address Bar' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

Moving this to WebExtensions Product so that our engineers could take a closer look at this enhancement request - If this is not right, please set a more suitable product and component. Thanks!

I am marking this bug as a duplicate of Bug 1805924 because fixing Bug 1805924 will solve your issue here, which is too many (unsorted) extensions in the list. We have other ideas to shrink this list but once you have the ability to re-order the list of extensions in the panel, you won't need a "search" feature, which we don't have plans for at the time of writing.
FTR I know this isn't strictly about re-ordering the list of extensions but about having a "search" feature but we have concrete plans for the former and not for the latter.
