User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/110.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Press Alt+F4 on an open Firefox window.
(I am using the Firefox snap on Ubuntu.)
Actual results:
The window does not close. Instead, the current tab gets "reset". The same happens if I just click F4.
Expected results:
The Firefox window would close.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
It is as if F4 got a new binding to reset the current tab and it gets precedence over the Alt+F4 combo. The same happens in Troubleshoot Mode.
I can still close the window with Ctrl+Shift+W.

Can you test plain Mozilla binary?

btw. I do see similar issue on clean Fedora 37 install but that affects all application like terminal and so on.
Hi, I just tried with vanilla Firefox 110.0.1, downloaded directly from Mozilla. I see the same thing.
I just realised alt+f4 fails to close other windows too now, so this is not a Firefox issue. Sorry for the noise.
