Linux 2002112705

load a site with a favicon. eg, linuxtoday.com
hit ^L, wbez, enter
see http://www.wbez.com load. Notice URL bar still just says "wbez" and favicon
is still from linuxtoday.com

switch to another tab, switch back. URL now updated, favicon still from old site.
Also, while in this state, the back button doesn't update. So if it's a new
page, The back button never becomes active.

Switching to another tab, and then back restores order, except for the favicon
issue originally mentioned.

updating os/plat from dupe.
Severity: normal → critical
OS: Linux → All
Hardware: PC → All
seen on commercial trunk builds:

windows 2002-11-27-04-trunk
linux 2002-11-27-04-trunk
mac os9 2002-11-27-03-trunk
mac osx 2002-11-27-03-trunk

-browse a few pages.
notice the URL address field update as expected to the current address.
-type an address in the URL field or perform a search from the URL field.
-browse a few more pages
notice now that the typed text remains in the URL field. The page loads and if
it has a favicon it also updates. But the text typed in earlier remains.

also note that this can't be reproduced in a New navigator window.
