As mentioned in comment, the max age of the sponsored tiles is larger than the max age specified by the Contile server.

I assume this fix can ride the trains in 113 since related bug 1811175 is riding the trains in 113.

Verified on a 113.0a1 custom build provided by Alexandru.
After I got a set of sponsored shortcuts (200 status code) and they were displayed as expected. They had a max age of 2 minutes.
Using postman to get 500 status code.
When the sponsored shortcuts were refreshed, and after the 2 minutes have passed, the sponsored shortcuts were no longer displayed.
Marking as verified fixed for 113.
