User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/112.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Just click somewhere in a line and then select the bullet icon in the rich-text menu or from the Format menu (Format --> List --> [pick any])
  2. Immediately after, do the same with a different list style (maybe number or term or definition)
  3. Then type CTRL+z.
  4. This works for other type of formatting too --> Make a line heading 1, then heading 2, then CTRL+z

Actual results:

When I apply two (or more?) formatting changes in succession and then type CTRL+z to undo, I lose the whole line. The line disappears and I'm unable to get it back by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+z, or CTRL+Y (redo action)

Expected results:

The formatting should cycle back in reverse chronological order.

If I first made the text bulleted, then numbered, then pressed CTRL+z, it should go back to being bulleted. Another CTRL+z should make it a non list.

I can confirm this on openSuse

Compare #1354359.

Issue persists in Thunderbird 132.0b5.
