Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Android 13; Mobile; rv:109.0) Gecko/111.0 Firefox/111.0

Steps to reproduce:

I was trying to Create Qualcomm account. After creating the account when, it requires OTP from mail to confirm the account. When I minimised the app to get OTP from Mail app, the page where OTP was suppose to enter, reloaded automatically and as a consequence the OTP expired automatically. Again tried the same, yet happened the same.

Actual results:

I was trying to Create Qualcomm account. After creating the account when, it requires OTP from mail to confirm the account. When I minimised the app to get OTP from Mail app, the page where OTP was suppose to enter, reloaded automatically and as a consequence the OTP expired automatically. Again tried the same, yet happened the same.

Expected results:

The page should have stayed intact at that place stable and shouldn't have reloaded when I came to from Mail app to enter the OTP.

The same issue happened with many other websites too.

Doesn't look like this wants to be security-sensitive as it's not a Firefox exploit or similar. Without access to the page in question it's difficult to be sure, but it sounds like this may be the page using a blur or resize handler or similar that resets the OTP code, in which case there's not much we can do.

Is this about the experience hosted at https://myaccount.qualcomm.com/login and the like?

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Cloud Services::Server: Firefox Accounts' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.

I tried to reproduce this issue on the https://myaccount.qualcomm.com/login but minimizing the page or switching tabs will not reload that page where the OTP is suppose to go.
If I do refresh the page and submit it again I would have to sign in again where I would get a different password. I tried this in Release, Beta as well as our Nightly build I couldnt get it to refresh on its own.
I will change the component to Dom:Events but I'm not entirely sure its the correct one, maybe something on that page is causing the page to reload when minimized?

Hi @Baharul, does this issue still occur on your end in our latest build ? Are you seeing the same behaviour at https://myaccount.qualcomm.com/login ?

Hi @Baharul, does this issue still occur on your end in our latest build ? Are you seeing the same behaviour at https://myaccount.qualcomm.com/login ?

I forgot to mention that I was using in-built app for Firefox at that time. And I've recently realized that maybe that in-built app lock had something to do with this as I've noticed that turning off that app lock, this issue isn't persisting anymore.
Thank You all for cooperating
