That's not a JavaScript popup, it's an alert-message from Windows, which is misused by some spammers. It's not created by Mozilla. You can see thses popups when you're connecting to the Internet, but there doesn't have to be *any* application running.

v windows messanger SPAM ( I blocked my port via firewall) you can also disable the windows messenger service
