User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.2) Gecko/20021126 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.2) Gecko/20021126 I've just upgraded from Mozilla 1.1 stable to 1.2 on my 9.1 Mac, and I cannot get type ahead find to work at all. I checked the information page, and on checking my prefs.js file found absolutely no mention of it in there. I added the commands mentioned to turn it on, and restarted Mozilla, but it still doesn't work. Note: somehow, strangely, I managed to get it to work ONCE. And it was great! But now it seems to have gone into hiding again. Is there a preference I'm missing somewhere, or has the installer fouled up the upgrade or something similar? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to type ahead find on any page Actual Results: Nothing happens Expected Results: Type-ahead found This blocks bug 30088 as the QA testing page asks me to add, but this hand-holding form won't let me put that in the proper location...

Confirmed on Mac OS 9.2, build 2002112508 (1.3a). I use it every day on Windows NT for at least 2 months, but never on the Mac. I've seen it work a few times, but I could never repeat it, not even in a brandnew profile. I'm using the following preferences, according to about:config : user_pref("accessibility.typeaheadfind", true); user_pref("accessibility.typeaheadfind.enablesound", true); user_pref("accessibility.typeaheadfind.linksonly", true); user_pref("accessibility.typeaheadfind.startlinksonly", false); user_pref("accessibility.typeaheadfind.timeout", 4000);

I have the same problem on a German 9.1 system. I tried every possible configuration of the user_pref settings, but it did never work.

Problem here, too. 1.2.1 on Mac OS 9.1 (US). No typeahead, although it's in the prefs.
Mozilla CFM build is dead. http://groups.google.com/groups?threadm=avkj4k%24ihs2%40ripley.netscape.com
