Preconditions

• browser.search.region CA
• have at least one CC already saved in about:preferences

Steps to reproduce

1. Reach the payment form on www.staples.ca
2. Click on any CC field and hover the mouse over any CC entry from the dropdown.
3. Select any CC entry.

Expected result

• The expiry date format should be e.g 01/29

Actual result

• The expiry date format is 01/2. This is applicable in the autofilled expiry date field and also in the CC autofill dropdown triggered from the CC number field. Also, if the user manually fill in the expiry date field, the format is e.g 1126 instead if 11/26 (this is also the Chrome's behavior).

Regression range

• In Chrome, the CC doorhanger is not displayed at all.

Additional notes

• Also reproducible in Chrome, but the expiry date format is 1126 instead if 11/26 there.

Re-tested in Nightly 139.0a1, the Payment form has been changed in the meantime and the autofill is working accordingly now. The expiry date format is displayed and autofilled correctly and by triggering the autofill from the expiry date field will autofill only that field(expiry date field is located in the main frame, different from the Card Number field's frame).

Verified - Fixed in Nightly 140.0a1 (2025-05-07), all the fields are autofilled and highlighted accordingly.
