Weird. Seen on gmail-IMAP with 113.0a1 (2023-04-03) (64-bit), Win10.

STR

1. In Inbox, click junk icon in message list to mark random message as junk (move messages to junk folder not set or not working, didn't check - good for testing this bug), then closely monitor the junk icon behaviour.

AR

• Junk icon in the message list column turns red instantly on click (ok)
• Junk icon then turns grey again for a second, before turning red again.
• Confusing and error-prone, depending on speed I might click again thinking that I failed.

Expected

• After marking message as junk, junk icon in message list column should turn red instantly and remain red for good (without flickering off in between).

Is it flickering in part because the message isn't getting moved to the spam folder?

I confirm the flickering.

My testing would have been faulty, I think, because I had Thunderbird set to not move messages to junk folder

FWIW, reporter in Bug 1826925 indicates WFM with beta 113

I can reproduce this - but it is also not moving my spam messasges to the junk folder.

Thomas, Are your messages moving to the spam folder?

This is an IMAP response issue and it's also reproducible in 102.
