Steps to reproduce:
Viewing a multi-part e-mail with the following structure:
This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

Actual results:
I'm seeing a blank -- empty -- message. Presumably, that's because the first of the three parts really is blank.
Expected results:
But why is the video (second part) not shown -- the way Firefox would show it using the built-in video-player?
Likewise, why is the little text in the third part not shown? I can download these two attachments -- and view them with external tools, but why not inside Thunderbird itself?
Is it because the 2nd and 3rd parts have the Content-Disposition headers -- with filenames? I should still be able to override that -- and view the content right there in the message pane. And I do have the "View Attachments Inline" checkbox already checked -- certainly in THIS case the sender-prescribed "Content-Disposition" should not trump my own choice.
Unless Thunderbird really cannot render the specified MIME-type, the attachments should be shown inline, when "Attachments Inline" is checked.

Mikhail, does the original problem still exist for you with version 115?

Yes, the attachment of type video is not shown -- it can only be downloaded and passed to the configured video-player. For example, here is the screenshot of a message -- in a separate TB window of its own: https://imgur.com/RR1Qin2.png
This is Thunderbird 115.6.0.
