Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to google.com (note this bug works on any page)
  2. Press Alt-F (find in page)
  3. Type: google
  4. Press Alt-F
  5. Type: *****
  6. Press Alt-F

Actual results:

After Step 6, the Find box replaces ***** with *

Expected results:

The Find box should keep the previous search for *****
