Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/111.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Play a video in fullscreen mode (YouTube for example)
  2. Alt-tab to a different application
  3. Alt-tab back to Firefox
  4. Exit video fullscreen mode
  5. Firefox is now in fullscreen mode

Actual results:

Alt-tabbing while having a video fullscreen forces Firefox into fullscreen mode (not just the video, but F11 fullscreen functionality)

Expected results:

Be able to fullscreen videos and alt-tab to other applications without having to worry about Firefox going into fullscreen mode

This does seem somewhat annoying. It would be nice to get it fixed. I've occasionally noticed myself and remember thinking that it felt odd, but I didn't necessarily consider it a bug.

It started happening recently (I assume since the last update but I could be wrong). It didn't use to behave this way hence the bug report.
